This year marks the 125th anniversary of the McGill Women’s Alumnae Association (MWAA). That’s 125 years of contribution to excellence in education and to women’s participation in society! From humble beginnings in 1889 with McGill’s first and very passionate female graduates (class of 1888), the MWAA has grown into an ever-expanding network of women making a positive impact on McGill and in the community.
In celebration of this exciting milestone, join the MWAA for a “friend-raising” event, High Tea Couture, to benefit their Scholarship Fund on November 13th, 2013.
Guests will enjoy the culinary delights of a high tea service, and will watch fashion shows featuring the works of McGill alumna Tanya Taylor, BCom’07 and exclusive designers at Holt Renfrew. As well, the event will include a leadership panel featuring Maya Chivi, MA’10, Dr. Morna Flood-Consedine, MEd’77, DEd’85, and scholarship recipient Christine Bataille; a silent auction, a prize draw and much more.
A memorable evening is in store for all! Join the MWAA in their efforts to continually nurture the leadership potential of McGill female students by supporting their academic endeavours.
